First meeting of the International Advisory Committe

On February 5th 2016 the first meeting of the International Advisory Committe of the D-TRANSFORM project will take place in Paris, France.

The International Advisory Committe (IAC) of the D-TRANSFORM project consists of representatives of Ministries, national agencies and associations of university presidents (mainly from the partners’countries), representatives of international organizations, each carefully selected on the basis of their experience and/or seniority.

IAC members play an important role and act as a linkage to D-TRANSFORM target audience (rectors and vice rectors), offering suggestions and insights into university context and  enhancing dissemination of project results.

During the meeting IAC members will be able to familiarise themselves with the first completed outputs of the project and discuss Guidelines about the transformation of universities and e-learning and the planned D-TRANSFORM open online course.

IAC members will participate in a roundtable discussion Designing successful workshops for university leaders: motivation, timing, topics, methodology and follow-up.  During then roundtable the following topics will be directly addressed

  • aims and objectives that university leaders hope to achieve through e-learning;
  • experiences of existing digital leaders (Sloan, Jisc etc) and senior leaders training programs and recommendations as to which parts of these partners could incorporate in the project;
  • determine the best timing for university leaders to be available for participating at leadership schools
  • draft a list of relevant topics for leadership schools (see also syllabus here below)
  • draft a list of good speakers for leadership schools
  • define the methodology and follow up
  • define a dissemination strategy
